The City of Eudora is pleased to announce the selection of Zack Daniel as Assistant City Manager. Daniel will support and direct various aspects of the City’s operations and lead the implementation of a number of strategic plan initiatives for the community.

“We are excited to welcome Zack to the team. His extensive background in local government management will be a tremendous addition to our team and the City,” said City Manager Kevyn Gero. “Zack has a passion for public service, and I am confident he will serve the City of Eudora well as we work to advance our strategic goals.”

Daniel brings ten years of public sector experience to this role, most recently serving as assistant city manager for the City of Edwardsville, Kansas, where he provided executive leadership and administered an $8 million budget. Daniel has demonstrated a deep commitment to community engagement throughout his career.

Zack Daniel has his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emporia State University and a Master of Public Administration from Wichita State University. Daniel is a member of the International City/County Management Association and the Kansas Association of City/County Managers.

“I am tremendously excited to be joining the team at Eudora. From my interactions with the community and the organization, Eudora is very aware of the opportunities it has for growth, while also focusing on maintaining its distinct character that separates it from other cities,” said Daniel. “It has a leadership team in place that is motivated by all the right things and a citizenry who want to share in the success of the whole community. There is a lot to learn in my new role and I can't wait to meet the residents and stakeholders who will play a part in Eudora's continued success in both the long- and short-term. My office door is open, and I'd be grateful for the opportunity to speak with anyone with a genuine desire to make Eudora one of the best places to live and work in Kansas.”

Zack Daniel will begin his new role on September 6, 2023.
